It's time to abolish law enforcement

Borenforcement
by Garry Reed

Commentary During his trial for possession of marijuana, which he obtained legally in California, Ed "NJWeedman" Forchion said that he smoked marijuana almost daily to alleviate the pain from his tumors, but the Assistant Prosecutor retorted that his excuse is irrelevant because "you can’t have it in New Jersey." This is a perfect example of why the high-minded concept of "a nation of laws, not of men" is worthless for a civilized society.

Fracturing the Republican Party? It's already fractured

Ronpaulyouth
by Garry Reed

COMMENTARY Tommy Merritt, a self-described longtime Republican, is upset that fellow Republican "David Simpson has taken a divisive stand at fracturing the Republican Party." That's because Simpson, an incumbent Republican state rep endorsed by the libertarianish Empower Texans, told a crowd he wouldn't support Mitt Romney if he were the nominee because Ron Paul is "much more of a conservative and deserves our vote in the primary than even Mitt Romney." But the Republican Party is already well fractured.

HUMOR(?) A Fox News article listed "Ten Jobs You Didn’t Know Needed Licenses" based on a report from the libertarian Institute for Justice. For example, 36 states license makeup artists, 37 states certify security guards, 33 states examine auctioneers but only Louisiana finds it necessary to regulate florists.

Liberty Speakers present the New Jim Crow Laws

Drugwarprisoner

If you thought the days of the Old South Jim Crow Laws were long gone you should attend the Liberty Speakers Series presentation in Ft. Worth Thursday evening, May 17, and educate yourself about the New Jim Crow Laws. The old Jim Crow Laws were thinly disguised racial segregation codes that relegated African-Americans to second-class citizen status in nearly every aspect of public life. The New Jim Crow Laws have spread throughout all fifty states, turning young Black and Hispanic men into a permanent criminal class by imprisoning them for victimless crimes.

Mr. Smoot vs. the Smart Meter

Smartmeternotice
by Garry Reed

NEWS REPORT The Dallas Libertarian Examiner has written several articles about North Texans' revolt against Smart Meters. Many resist installation of these digital meters over concerns about inaccuracy (electric bills spike sky high), health (emissions cause headaches, nausea, insomnia), RFI, or radiofrequency interference with medical devices (pacemakers, insulin pumps) and appliances (cell phones, alarm systems, wifi), and invasion of privacy (remote monitoring of personal usage by government agencies). This article focuses on a person who has chosen to remain anonymous, and will therefore be identified only as "Mr. Smoot," an acronym for "Smart Meter Opt Out Texan."

Jury convicts NJWeedman on pot possession, hangs on distribution

Weedmanguilty
by Garry Reed

COMMENTARY Jurors in the Ed "NJWeedman" Forchion trial, apparently unable to come to grips with the slowly evolving social realities of marijuana usage, marijuana legalization, medical marijuana legitimacy, and federal prohibition vs. New Jersey's own passed-but-not-yet-implemented "Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act," split the difference and found Forchion guilty of possession while hanging themselves on the distribution charge.
